I did not receive my stimulus package for the year 2008. I did for this year, 2009 but not 2008 or 2007....and I am on SSI; and here I thought all people were supposed to receive at least $200.00 in those years? Pleae correct me if I am wrong; which I have been known to be from time to time. 2007= $300. and then in 2008== $250.00 and then in 2009 we all receieved $250...

The closest alive relative can claim the money. In your case you should be able to claim the fund right away.

The point is, this money does not belong to the government. The money does belong to the people who purchased the bonds, their children, relatives and people who are named in wills not local state government body. In the past it has been proven that a small infusion of money never solves an ongoing fiscal problem. If you never fix the underlying issue the problem always comes back. And this money can do good for the people to whom it belongs and there are countless examples of this.
